Vapur Anti-Bottle →
packlite:
The Vapur Anti-Bottle™ is a foldable, reusable water bottle designed for convenient on-the-go use. Unlike traditional rigid bottles, the Anti-Bottle is flexible. It stands upright when full and can be rolled, folded or flattened when empty - easily fitting into pockets, purses or packs.
As someone who lives out of his backpack, this looks great for long bus rides!

GOOD NEWS
Momma W. is coming home today. Doctors orders; no more smoking and switch to decaf. This Christmas is gonna be SMOOOOOTH, right?
Thanks everyone for the well wishes / prayers / ninja throwing stars; you helped out this ‘ole Bike Nerd.

CARRY ON
Mom is sick and heading to the ER in a few. I’d appreciate any good vibes / prayers / rain dances you might be able to provide.
Hug the people you love.

Enough
Enough of all the reblogged “chicks with bikes” photos. We get it.
To combat this practice I’m going to start imitating those poses and outfits and locations. Yes, Seth W. / Bike Nerd alluring photos, designed to repulse and mock the “bike culture is all about half naked babes in heels / skinny dudes in tight jeans with chest tattoos” shtick.
Less posing, more...

UNREAL NEW YORK
I honestly don’t know how this week in NYC could get any better. Catching up with old friends after four months is an amazing privilege. I’m so blessed. I’ve been able to meet some new people, too. These are people I’ve only known online from anywhere between a few months to a decade. Insane.
The only downside will be having to say goodbye after another week. Bleh.
NICE TRY
Before I left Louisville, KY I tried to get a pair of pants mended. Why spend $50+ on a new pair of jeans when you you can just get ‘em fixed, right?
So I take the jeans in before Thanksgiving. They say, “they’ll be done on monday.” Great.
I go back on Tuesday. They don’t have them. They tell me it’s because of the holidays. “That’s fine,” I...

It was rad setting this up!
Dude.
Seriously; why did I have a dream that I worked at a grocery store with Glen Danzig?
Cold Weather and Warm Hearts
Two meals with amazing friends today. Great conversations with co-workers that I haven’t seen in four months. I rode eight miles or so from Greenpoint Brooklyn, up to 23rd and back. In 34 °F weather.
I’d take some photos, but it’s freezing outside. And I’m having too much fun smiling and riding in bike lanes, watching out for taxi’s and avoiding potholes. The...
Made it to Brooklyn, NY
I set out from Louisville, KY at 6:30pm on Saturday night. Not much sleeping was done since every few hours we arrived at a new city and had to get off and re-board. The ride was 20 hours long. Made it to NYC around 3pm or so on Sunday.
I put my bike back together and rode to meet my friend down in China Town. This meant riding down Broadway during the massive Christmas rush. It took me only a...
FOUR MONTHS
It’s been four months on the road. Even more travel ahead. I’ve got my bike packed up and tomorrow afternoon I’ll board a Greyhound Bus for NYC. It’ll cost me around $150 and I won’t receive a TSA pat-down. Once in NYC I’ll unload my bike, piece it back together and ride to my friends house.
This time will be weird. Arriving in Columbus or Dayton, OH was one...
